I recently had the incredible opportunity to document the most joyful San Diego pregnancy announcement of Kevin and Danielle!
Working alongside photographers always brings a unique sense of joy, and this was no exception. Kevin, a fellow creative, and his vibrant partner Danielle, reached out to me while he was in town for a photography conference. They envisioned their San Diego pregnancy announcement to be cinematic, colorful, and playful—an idea that perfectly aligned with the beauty of San Diego’s landscape. We chose the beach because of it’s vibrant backdrop of the ocean and the setting sun!
We began our session with an array of playful poses, laughter, and prompts that highlighted genuine moments that effortlessly showcased their personalities. The vivid colors of the surroundings served as an ideal backdrop for their announcement, with every click of the camera capturing not just their joyful expressions but also the delightful anticipation of their growing family.
Adding a nostalgic layer to our shoot, Kevin was all for incorporating a roll of film into the mix. This even allowed him to step behind the lens, capturing serene moments of Danielle in the most effortless way. The film’s distinct texture and rich colors beautifully complemented the modern digital images, merging contemporary excitement with heartfelt nostalgia.
