Aside from immortalizing your work for years to come, being a published wedding photographer has many practical benefits as well. Having your work published is free advertising and helps boost your service as a credible business among prospective clients.
As you begin, one of the biggest challenges is figuring out what magazines and publications to submit your work to. Typically, you will want to start with a list of magazines and sites you want to feature in one day and scour the internet to find similar publications to work with. If you’re having trouble getting started and don’t know which publishers will accept your submissions, here’s a list to get you started.

This site is a great resource for couples who are looking for inspiration, information, and other resources to effectively plan their special day. More importantly, Junebug Weddings is dedicated to connecting couples to talented vendors and photographers. Luckily for us, Junebug Weddings accepts editorial photo submissions from photographers that “aim to showcase nuptials that will inspire a diverse audience with a range of genders, races, religions, and sexualities.”
The Anti-Bride
The Anti-Bride is an online magazine that helps readers learn everything there is to know about contemporary weddings. The Anti-Bride shouts out modern designers, photographers, wedding planners, and other vendors. They also tailor their site and style to reach an international audience. If you’re a wedding photographer who captures unique and modern weddings, The Anti-Bride might be the perfect magazine to submit photography to.
Martha Stewart Weddings
Martha Stewart needs no introduction, which is why it’s so exciting that her site dedicated to all things weddings accepts submissions from wedding photographers. Martha Stewart Weddings helps readers acquire the tools they need to design their dream weddings from top to bottom. Of course, Martha Stewart features nothing less than expert advice and innovative wedding ideas to help couples find inspiration.
Brides
Another publication that needs no introduction is Brides. Brides have been around for over 80 years, making them the most experienced wedding-related publication in the United States. More recently, they have transitioned to an online-only publication that houses over 6,000 digital articles for couples to read. Luckily for us wedding photographers, Brides is one of the best magazines to submit photography to. Their real wedding submission guidelines are easy to follow and make it easy for you to submit your wedding photography!
Southern Bride
Southern Bride is a wedding magazine focused on brides from the southern United States. It provides inspiration, ideas, and advice for brides planning their southern-style weddings. If you have recently shot a wedding that you feel captures the essence of their publication’s southern charm, be sure to visit their submissions page!
Rangefinder Mag
Rangefinder Mag is a photography magazine aimed at professional wedding photographers working in the industry. Rangefinder offers useful articles on photography techniques, equipment, and business advice, as well as features on successful photographers and their work. If you think your work is a good fit for their site, they are always accepting submissions via email.
Vogue Weddings
Vogue Weddings is another publication that doesn’t require an introduction. Vogue Weddings is an online and print magazine from Vogue, one of the world’s leading fashion publications. It provides inspiration and ideas for fashion-forward brides and grooms, covering everything from bridal gowns to wedding decor and entertainment.
The Wed
The Wed is an online wedding magazine featuring real weddings, vendor profiles, and planning advice. It is aimed at helping brides and grooms navigate the planning process and make informed decisions about their wedding day. More information about their submissions can be found here.

Bliss Bridal Magazine
Bliss Bridal Magazine is a print and online wedding magazine based in Central Texas that provides inspiration and ideas for brides and grooms. It features real weddings, local vendor profiles, and everything you need to know about planning your special day in the Lonestar State. Bliss Bridal Magazine is currently accepting submissions.
