This timeless session with Elaina and Mariano was on the beach in San Diego, California. Elaina and Mariano originally reached out because they are eloping in Chicago in July. When they realized I was currently in San Diego, California everything fell into place. Mariano is currently stationed in San Diego and Elaina was planning to visit him in July. Her original plan was a to rent a tripod and take some couple photos while visiting, but since they noticed I am currently in San Diego, they decided to reach out about taking their engagement photos too.
We decided on a location at a beach in La Jolla. We were planning on a rainy, cloudy session since the weather on the dates up to their session and after their session all called for rain. But we ended up having the weather on our side, and it ended up being a beautiful sunny day the day of their session. We ended up having the most stunning golden hour and sunset! For this engagement session we included lots of movement and focused on storytelling. It was important for Elaina and Mariano to have their gallery tell a story of their life now and have photos that they could look back on forever! They also added on a roll of film to their session that gave them a nostalgic feeling to their gallery. We had the best time together and so happy they got their dream beach engagement session while they were in San Diego, California!
