This golden hour engagement session in San Diego was a photographer’s dream come true! Kaela and Derek are also both photographers who had a vision of what they wanted their session to feel and look like. They are recently engaged and wanted to use these photos as their engagement photos and save the dates. We decided on a location with an open field in San Diego during golden hour, a photographer’s favorite time of the day to shoot during (especially mine!) We decided to use some props to use to tell the story of their relationship in their photos and I ended up bringing an easel, canvas, and paint for a fun date activity. They danced, the painted, we laughed. This golden hour San Diego engagement session and the feeling that I want all my couples to feel after their session: like they could be themselves! They also brought their vintage bikes to use as props and it was the perfect way to end the session!
