Claire and Kelly’s elopement was one of those days that felt effortlessly full of meaning. They first met years ago while working at the San Diego County Administration Center, so returning to the very place where their paths first crossed felt incredibly full-circle. To witness them say “I do” surrounded by loved ones in a location woven into their story was something truly special.
Their ceremony was intimate; family gathered close, happy tears flowing, and joyful energy filling the courtyard. After they exchanged vows, we took time for family portraits and then focused on capturing what they loved most: the architecture of the San Diego County Administration Center. With its clean lines, grand hallways, and soft coastal light, the building provided the perfect backdrop for photos that felt both heartfelt and timeless.
We made sure to photograph both indoors and outdoors so they could have a full collection of images celebrating the place where it all began. Then we ended the session with a short walk to the harbor. The boats swayed gently in the water, and the soft ocean breeze added a peaceful, romantic touch to the final part of the day.
To capture the full emotion of the day, we incorporated both digital and film photography. The combination allowed their gallery to feel layered and nostalgic—crisp moments from digital intertwined with the dreamy imperfections of film. It was the perfect reflection of their love story: timeless, genuine, and beautifully real.
Claire and Kelly’s elopement was a beautiful reminder that love stories don’t need grand stages; they just need heart, history, and the people who matter most.
