An intimate Chicago elopement at the IMSS, International Museum of Surgical Science. The bride and groom, Debbie and Ben, met back in 2021. Ben proposed to Debbie during the summer of 2022 and decided that their dream wedding was an intimate ceremony with only their closest friends and family in attendance. It was a beautiful, low-key elopement at the stunning venue of IMSS in Chicago. The venue has beautiful statues, staircases and a library which drew Debbie and Ben to choose this spot for their big day.
After they said I do, we took family portraits and then explored around the venue for some portraits of the couple. They really wanted to incorporate the venue’s beauty into their photos and capture the overall feeling of the day throughout their gallery. From taking it in together that they are now married in the stairwell to exploring the art galleries around every nook and cranny, their photos expressed the emotions and events of the day. I always tell my couples that I am a big believer in storytelling and capturing moments of feeling and emotion. I always want my couples to be present during the day and have the emotions naturally come about, from laughter to tears of joy I am here to capture it all! Of course, I am here to give all the guidance and direction you will need to feel comfortable on your wedding day, but I am a true believer that when your able to enjoy your day and be with your people, your photos will truly reflect your day and how it felt. Debbie and Ben’s wedding was exactly that. You can truly feel how happy these two are to have tied the knot together on this incredibly special day.
