Branding session at studio sunset in Chicago, IL. Bailey is a hairstylist who wanted some updated branding photos for her website and social media. With branding sessions, I tend to approach them with a editorial and creative eye. I always get the standard, but I love adding an editorial element to branding photos as well as capturing the personality of the brand or in this case the face behind the brand. For this session we went outside the box and incorporated hair models into Bailey’s branding session. Since she is a hairstylist, we wanted to make sure we were capturing the element of what her brand is to her current and future potential clients. We also decided on a studio for the location, Studio Sunset Chicago, to give a cleaner, neutral backdrop to her photos, so it did not take away anything from it. For styling, we kept things simple with a black suit and her models in jeans and white tees.
Branding sessions have always been something I absolutely love to capture, especially owning a small business myself. It is always so special to capture people in their element and create photos that speak to the person and business.
