A Lake Forest engagement session in Chicago, IL that truly felt like home in photo form! My work is centered around creating an equilibrium between my couples and the landscape they are in. Engagement photos that feel like you are one of the goals when picking out the perfect location for your session. Through the process of planning your engagement photos, family session, or just because photos I focus on the relationship you have with your people and spaces that you feel the most “you” in. I always say comfort is key when choosing your surroundings. Whether that means you pick a location that is your favorite coffee shop, a place you always tend to go for a date, the place you met, or simply somewhere you have been dying to go but have not made the trip there yet!
For this session we chose a local park where my couple could explore outside in the amazing weather we lucked out on that day and had their dogs come along for the ride! This session included walks through the park, photos with their dogs and exploring the local neighborhood. They wanted this session to feel like a typical weekend out with their pups and capture them within their normal routine. A big tip to any couples wanting to bring their pets along, is to bring a friend or family member along to the session to hold your dogs and take them away after you get your photos with them! Makes for a more seamless session without you trying to figure out whether to put your dogs or having to hold them the entire time!
