This San Diego portraits content day pool session was so fun to dream up and create with two photographers. Anna Page @annanpage and Sara Myers @saramyersphotography flew to California for a content filled weekend. Content weekends are something that I love to do with my mentees. They typically consist of planning and creating a session that my mentees can shoot alongside me, ask questions, see how I pose and chat with the models, while also creating content to use for their own businesses. Mentorship content days are the perfect combination of photo education and shooting content. For this San Diego, California content day we rented a private pool area from peerspace for the shoot location. I played around with my starburst lens filter. This filter has been so fun to experiment with at sessions with reflections and water. The filter is from Prism Lens FX. At any mentorship shooting day, I also encourage my mentees to get creative and play with different props or styles of shooting that they typically would not. For this session, we got creative with shadows, motion blur and unique props!
