From the crisp air of the Alaskan wilderness to the sun-kissed shores of San Diego, Seng’s visit to her boyfriend William held the promise of cherished moments. Wanting to etch these memories in time, she envisioned a couples beach session in San Diego. Solana Beach, a canvas of dramatic cliffs where the setting sun paints the sky, made the perfect backdrop for their story to unfold.
This beach session possessed an effortless, cinematic feel from the very beginning. Seng and William were a radiating couple — playful, relaxed, and full of love. Their excitement was palpable; a tangible energy that infused the air as we began to capture their story.
To add another element to their session, we combined both film and digital photography. The film added an old-school, nostalgic feel; while the digital photos were sharp and vibrant, capturing every detail of the beautiful beach and their connection. We also incorporated sunset flash photos, using it creatively to give the images an layer of nostalgia. The combination of all these elements gave the shoot the perfect cinematic essence.
