We gathered at Torrey Pines State Beach in San Diego, a location that effortlessly blends natural beauty with a sense of tranquility. Julia and Tyler decided on two outfits for their maternity session. One of my favorite touches was the hibiscus flower Julia wore in her hair. To add some further depth to their session, I implemented a star filter, creating a mesmerizing starburst effect around light sources. This technique introduced a dreamy quality to the images, aligning with the serene mood of the beach setting.
Altogether, timing is everything in photography. We strategically planned their Torrey Pines maternity session to capture golden hour, when the light is soft and warm. This timing bathed Julia and Tyler in a gentle glow, highlighting their genuine affection and excitement for their precious arrival. As blue hour began, Julia and Tyler decided to hop in the ocean.
