There is something undeniably magical about a surprise proposal on the California coast, and Brandon and Anatai’s Windansea Beach Proposal was the perfect combination of thoughtful planning, beautiful light, and genuine emotion.
Traveling to San Diego for this special moment, Brandon had carefully planned every detail. One of the most meaningful elements he wanted incorporated into the shoot was the vibrant green florals. The unique color palette stood out beautifully against the neutral tones of the beach, adding an organic and personal touch to the setting while reflecting the vision he had imagined for this milestone.
As the evening began, the warm glow of golden hour settled across the coastline. The sandstone cliffs and shoreline at Windansea Beach reflected rich golden tones, creating a romantic backdrop for the moment Brandon got down on one knee. Following the proposal, we spent time exploring the beach together, documenting the joy and emotion that naturally unfolded. One of my favorite aspects of this Windansea Beach Proposal was how effortlessly Brandon and Anatai embraced the moment. They laughed, celebrated, and soaked in every second of being newly engaged while the sun slowly disappeared below the horizon.
To complement the digital images, I also photographed a roll of medium format film throughout the session.
